right.  (Hi, Lisa.  I didn't know this was you until now).

Having lived in Des Moines for eight years, I will second what Lisa said.  That
small city (Jewish population, approx. 3,500) DOES get a lot of terrific
artists. During my stay there, we had Fran Avni, Doug Kotler, Shlock Rock and
Kol B'Seder.  (Doing this off the top of my head, so if I forgot anyone here
who's been there, I'm SORRY).  AND, Des Moines is an easy car ride from KC,
Omaha, and Minneapolis (which is where I am now).

Frankly, living in a much bigger (though still MidWest) city, I miss being able
to say, "Let's bring Fran in...." and being able to do it!

Music is where the heart and the desire are.
