Many of us live in the heartland, and really love it!  No traffic, no smog, 
very little crime, close knit ties and deep roots.  I grew up in Southern 
Cal., have lived in New York, Texas and Israel.  I visit California a couple 
of times a year and I would not move back there for anything!   I love the 
midwest, and even though there's snow, the warmth of the fire dispels the 
cold.  As for the music, it's here, it's here, and don't think that we don't 
appreciate it all the more for not having it here every day. One of my 
missions as a cantor is to bring the talent here, where the folks can learn 
and hear what's going on in the 'outside' world.  And I do. Not to mention 
creating from the inside out.  We don't share your pain, we just feel bad 
that you are in pain on our behalf.
