[HANASHIR:4325] May The Words

I've got 2 questions about "May the words of my mouth and the meditations of
my heart be acceptable to You, O Lord, my Rock and my Redeemer."

First, the melody that begins GFE EDC CCCDEFGAFD...
Who wrote it????

Second, at the temple at which you songlead or attend services, do you
typically sing/say May The Words as a lead-in to Oseh Shalom, or does it
stand alone?

Wondering why I'm asking? I wrote an Oseh Shalom melody that musically
coordinates very well with May The Words as a lead-in. At my temple, we
often go from silent meditation to May The Words and directly to Oseh
Shalom, but I'm wondering if that's done elsewhere as well. Thanks in
advance for any and all responses! -- Carol
