[HANASHIR:3768] Re: Sukkot

I wasn't lucky to attend CAJE, though I did attend The Jewish Renewal Kallah
which was also replete with wonderful music - our most recent monthly Kumzits
last week highlighted selections learned at Kallah. Regarding "V'samachta
B'chagecha", various notated versions appear in different songbooks. A
favorite traditional one (perhaps one you sang at CAJE) is in a great old
songbook to own (or check out from a Jewish library): Songs Of Our People,
(Samuel Bugatch, ed., Farband Book Publishing, NY, 1961, ?still in business),
p.239. A freilach Lubavitch version is in Tara's recent Chabad Melodies,
p.60 as well as in Tara's Hasidic Favorites, p. 31 (1972). Another freilach
traditional version is sung to the tune of "N'ranena, n'zamera..." I have
the notation for that. None of these may be the ones you sang at CAJE, but
they're all good oldies. If interested, my e-mail is amgo (at) aol(dot)com
