Okay - NOW we are no longer in CAJE and I DO miss everyone - and there were lots
and lots of red notes. My ran the last day.
More to the point, there was wonderful music at CAJE, too - only spread SOOOO
far
apart that you ran yourself ragged trying to get to see friends in different
venus. Karen and Raquel were wonderful in their concerts (although I could only
catch the second half of Raquel's concert because it was in "Sullivant." Who
knew where Sullivant was other than that it was WWWWWAAAAAAAY far away from
Independence Hall, where Karen's was IMMEDIATELY before. *sigh!!*) My favorite
personal musical experience was the chorale - as usual. This year there were
two
astounding discoveries. (Trust Carole to discover new talent!!) We had an
operatically trained young woman doing her own composition with the chorale
backing her up and a young woman who is originally from Israel singing the
verses
of the song "Uf tzippor" in a manner that brought goosebumps. (We sang ooooooos
and the chorus).
Oh yes, now I know what all the business about "Ki VA mo'ed" v.s. "Ki BA mo'ed."
We did that one, too.
There was more wonderful musical stuff, but I'm sleeping at this keyboard,
so........ TBCont'd
