[HANASHIR:3302] Ki Va Mo-eid

Okay, I am very puzzled. I was teaching the song "Ki Va Mo-eid" to a
group at camp today, and one of the counselors, who happens to be an
Israeli Scout, told me it didn't make any sense. She said it should be Ki
Ba Mo-eid. I know that there were native Hebrew speakers at Hava Nashira,
but nobody said anything about this, so I figured that "Va" must be
correct. Currently, some of my campers have learned "Va" while others
have learned "Ba". They all love the song just the same, but I would like
to be educated by someone who knows: which way is right, and why? It will
be no problem to switch the kids from one to the other. By the way, this
song is by Shlomo Carlebach, right? If not, could someone also tell me
who wrote it?
Thank you!
Angela Gold, who is having great song sessions with children from ages
2-13, at two different day camps! Woohoo!!! :)
