Thanks to Cantor Schwartz for reminding Gideon and all of us how seriously
we on the Hanashir list take issues of copyright-for reasons legal, halachic
and ethical.

I suspect, Gideon, that a good many of us have lyrics in English and Hebrew
available. Be aware that many Hebrew fonts, however, use non-standard ASCII
codes - so making the Hebrew available may be a little more difficult unless
you have the exact same Hebrew fonts on your system. I am sure that, once we
know that you have the appropriate clearances and will be giving proper
attribution for copyright in the songbook, some of us might be able to share
with you our English and Hebrew files to save you the time in re-keyboarding
in the text.

At the appropriate time, you can share a list of the songs you are
considering with the list (and many here might be able to help you identify
composers and copyright holders as well - this list is a veritable font of
Jewish Music knowledge.)

Good luck with your (appropriately cleared) songbook project.
