Well, I am finally home after flight delays, scary turbulence, and having to
spend the night in Houston with no luggage before I finally arrived home in
Louisiana at 11 a.m. this morning.  But as we discussed in Danny's torah study 
on
Shabbat, there is always good to be found in bad.

This delay gave me more time to savor the delicious memories of the past five
days before re-entering the real world:  The incredible learning and sharing 
that
went on at all times; the special new friendships made (it was great to put 
faces
and voices with names on this list); the glee of renewing old friendships; the
real presence of Adonai permeating every gathering.

Yes, I learned wonderful new music, but there was so much more.  (Tears are
streaming down my cheeks as I write this).  This Hava Nashira was about the
people and the whole that was created from some truly amazing parts.  Every
person had something to add to the mix and everyone was allowed to contribute to
the whole.

I was a first timer at Hava Nashira, but by no means new to the world of Jewish
music or performing.  There have been very few times in my life that I have
experienced anything as powerful and as spiritual as what I experienced this 
past
week at Hava Nashira.  I will be sailing on it for quite some time.

I personally thank the staff at OSRUI;  the professional staff who were all so
accessible and human; and everyone who was a part of this "experience of a
lifetime".  My life and my spirit have been profoundly touched by all of you.

I hope to see many of you at CAJE in August or next year in Oconomowac!
