Joel, I would open and close the religious school
services with songs of peace and friendship --
various versions of Oseh Shalom and Hinei Mah Tov.
As for the music classes (and I'm struggling with
the same thing), I'd possibly also add songs about
family.  I need to get my youngest students musically
prepared for services we'll be having on Mother's Day,
and I think that by staying with the themes of peace,
friendship and family, I'll be able to have music
that's appropriate both tomorrow and in two weeks.
