[HANASHIR:2714] fund-raising with music -Reply

One group I sing in puts on a "Cabaret" as a fund-raiser,
preparing the meal and serving it and providing in-between
course entertainment - Cole Porter, Gershwin, broadway
songs. It's a lot of work, however. The youth group can pitch
in to be servers and dishwashers.

Another group uses raffles, soliciting prizes from the
community businesses. You can have wide range of prizes,
from computer/voice/soccer (etc.) lessons to plane tickets.

We are putting on a concert to raise money for Kosovo - all
songs about peace. (I am singing Luigi Nono's Djamila
Pacha - a song about a factory worker involved in an
uprising.)

The kids have donated teddy bears to send to the victims.
(It's easier to get stuff there because we are in Europe.)
