My mother sang (and still sings) this song to me as a little girl....in three
different (I think) languages.I've never met anyone else who knows it so I was
delighted to find your question...as the song is special to me for sentimental
reasons. In fact, last September, I performed for a Hadassah group and I chose
to sing this song in honor of my mother and to my grandmother's memory (whom I
believe taught the song to my mother). I'm not sure if I got all of the
pronunciation right, but I LOVE the song. Are you going to Hava Nashira? If
so, I will be happy to sing it with you there!
