Not only am I over 40 (44 and 1/2 actually!), but I've only been song 
leading for just under 2 years.  I lead a junior choir and an adult choir, 
and until I began, I hadn't touched a guitar in over 20 years.  But somehow 
my congregation put up with me as I muddled (an as I still muddle) through. 
 The youth will respond to anyone who makes the music interesting and alive 
and relevant to them.  Plus, I guess it depends on how desperate a Temple 
is...
