Raquel, I enjoyed your note. I have a son like that too. I am often trying
to learn songs for the plays I am in or trying out for, I have to listen to
the song several times. he hears it once and sings it all over the house.
unfortuneately at the tryouts I am usually handed sheet music and asked to
sing part of the song and I can't do that. My son also listens to the
teacher play the piece at his piano lesson, and then just knows it. He gets
bonus points from the teacher for not looking at his music when he plays
and he almost always has it memorized even though he only practices 5-10
min 3-4 times a week.
