My ONLY complaint about this past year's HN was that we could NOT use tape
recorders during services.  For me, the previous Hava Nashira's (Havot
Nashirot?) were major learning experiences.  Having grown up with Conservative
and Orthodox melodies and nusach, it was been wonderful to pick up the
innovative ideas of Julie, Debbie, Jeff and others, and bring them back to my
Conservative and Orthodox congregations, who LOVE the stuff I bring to them.

I understand how Debbie felt about tape recorders clicking on and off during
services.  Maybe there is a way we could all start at the same time, and have
the same length tapes.  Or perhaps all the services could be on the master
tapes recorded there.  There is no better way to bring these wonderful tunes
back home by memory!

Thank you all for the incredible music you have added to my life, and the
lives of my fellow congregants!
