I don't have a Scientific answer to your question, but experience tells me
that most stuff is about a "whole" tone to a 1/3 above where most congregants
like/can to sing.(Maybe even lower for most Rabbi's!! Kidding!!!!)

For the guitar players, musically speaking, this is typically not a challenge.
But on written sheet music this is a HUGE undertaking. I still think it's got
to be done. We have to make ALL the music as accessable as possible, both
aurally and vocally.
