Oh Rick--you don't know how close to home that hits. I was in St. Thomas
putting a museum together for the St. Thomas Hebrew congregation 1.5
weeks before Rosh HaShanah, when the entire island WAS rocked by a
hurricane (Hurricane Marilyn, September 15-16, 1995), flattening the
place and doing a real number on the high holiday services. It was the
single most harrowing experience of my life; and with La Nina taking over
for El Nino, there are rumors that this season could be a doozy down
there.
I don't know if you were joking; but if you actually do decide to open RH
services with that song, please check the Caribbean weather reports
beforehand--after all (and how symbolic is this?), the high holidays
frequently come
right at the height of hurricane season.
Be well.
Judah.
