INTERDEPENDENCE DAY! :-) IT'S REALLY HAPPENING!

Once again, sorry about the long email address list.

Dear Friends and Family,

I am completely overwhelmed by the amount of support I have recieved from you
all. 
So far I have recieved almost $700 in pledges from over 20 people/families
(including my own pledge).  It really is amazing what you can do when you set
your mind and heart on something.  It makes me so proud to know great folks
like you and to be doing this incredible work.  

So...before I wish you all an amazing holiday...
1)  Thank You! to all who pledged and have sent checks
2)  For those of you who pledged, thanks again, and please send me your check
right away so I can bring it with me to the build-a-thon on Friday or Sunday
or ASAP!
3)  And...for those who didn't pledge yet, but can afford to join the
bandwagon...
Let's shoot for $1000 shall we?  

I forgot to mention that this organization is an Ecumenical group--bringing in
folks from all walks of life, religious communities (truly pluralistic), races
and colors.  (Dare I say political and sexual orientations as well?).  Former
president Jimmy Carter began this venture with a group of committed folks and
now it has grown tremendously.  I am sure I will learn more about Habitat when
I am on site building with the team of fearless construction worker maniacs
like myself!  And I will share what I learn with y'all sometime after the
event.
