In an attempt to put my own advice into action, I just met this a.m. with the
director of our local (Kansas City) Community Agency for Jewish Education.
Each winter (1st weekend in February) we have a mini-CAJE that's open to
Jewish educators living/working within a 300 mile radius of K.C. (We typically
have people from Nebraska, mid-Missouri, eastern Kansas, Iowa and Oklahoma as
well as the metro KC area -- and it's open for expansion to some degree, I
imagine). I suggested we incorporate a "mini-H.N." into that context, and the
idea fell on very receptive ears. So stay tuned, and keep your calendars open
for early February. I figure, the more the merrier!
