Airport Transport-the Official Word

Gerry Kaye shared some information with me that I will share with the list
regarding the airport transport situation and other news about Hava Nashira.

Gerry says:

I understand that there are comments to the effect that we are somehow not
being fair or open because we are not picking folks up at the airport this
year. [Note: I did tell Gerry that I was the source of those comments!]  We
are opening the program to more people and we are also adding faculty to
accommodate the numbers. I simply don't have the resources to pick folks up
from the airport in the numbers that we anticipate and still be able to have
all of the setups that we need without substantially increasing price given
the larger number of staff. In addition to all of the other folks who you
know of, Shimon Cohen is also joining us for HN. This is a very expensive
program to run and the simple requirements of food make it even more
complicated.  We have added a dorm option for people for whom dollars are
difficult and are working hard not to increase tuition exorbitantly will
help a great deal.

So, I guess a little understanding is called for. I did suggest to Gerry
that in the future they consider at least helping to coordinate arrivals and
transportation, and he agreed it was worth looking into.
