Nature of the list

I have actually enjoyed the discussions and good-natured banter. As the
only Jewish song leader in my life, I appreciate the feeling of being part
of a professional community of people passionate about Judaism and music.
However, I could do without the attacks. I agree that arguing the fine
points of R vs. O vs. C pushes too many buttons and should be avoided. I
say that as someone who participated in it. That being said, I have to
admit that I learned a lot from it.

How?s about when someone asks the general hanashir population for a song
idea or something along those lines, and expects many different responses,
that she or he request that the respondants mail directly to the
enquirer. After a few days or so, the enquirer might consider posting a
compilation of results. I find that most enquiries posted by other song
leaders are of interest to me and if the subject line in my inbox doesn?t
interest me there?s the old delete button.

What say you, Adrian? I will be happy to continue to be part of this list
whatever is decided.
