I think we all find our kavannah in different places so which I think is a
prayer is not at issue.

My point with the little boy story is that the congregation was seemingly
as upset about this kid singing Aleph Bet in the middle of t'filot, as
anyone else might be upset with singing Adon Olam to Gilligan, or whatever.
