Well, I like and don't like the idea of having a national songleading
position.  Maybe a chair or two.  I tried earlier this year to get a NFTY-NYC
resolution passed that would create a songleader.  I bombed but people said it
was because of how I worded it and because of a few small points that could be
worked out.

It would be great to have a national resource who would be there for all the
songleaders.  It would also be great if every region had a songleader
appointment.  I think I could songlead NFTY-NYC events effectivly.  It is true
that older people have had longer to songlead, however I don't think that
NFTYites can't be amazing songleaders.  Maybe if there was a joint deal going
where the Chair did some events, or
worked with an older songleader.  If the chair did Kutz over the summer, then
that would be enough experience.  Or, if they did it with a faculty
songleader.  I mean, you could make the same argument that adults, who have
more life experience, are better to be in charge of NFTY than a national
board.
