Re: Hero songs

There's a terrific Yiddish song about Itzik Vitnberg.  Hersh Glik wrote a
failrly well-known  song about Vitke Kempner, the partisan.  I think there's
singable English around for that.  There's also a great song about Hirsh
Lekert, a member of the Jewish Labor Bund, who was executed for his political
activities.  Try Jerry Silverman's Yiddish Song Book - it's likely to have
these songs (or at least a couple of them).
