Dear Jesse, My name is Emily Blank, and I just got on the hanashir list
last week. I teach economics full time at Howard University in Washington,
DC, but my dream is to become a part time hazzanit. I've been studying
part time with David Shneyer (of the Fabrangen fiddlers) for about two
years. He runs (among other things) a cantorial certification program. My
knowledge of Jewish music is not especially broad, but I'd love to get in
contact with more people on this list.
