one solution to your problem is to have the children whisper the words to 
baruch shem k'vod...   I did that with my own children at bedtime from the time 
they were born and they learned the words just fine and now do it silently 
between singing the sh'ma and v'ahavta.    No reason why this couldn't work 
with a 
class.
