[HANASHIR:16963] RE: Utzu Eitza

A couple of my Israeli friends at school do not like this song sung at
Purim. Does anyone have a take on this as to why? I grew up singing
it during Purim, but who knows ???

A fun, kid-friendly version of "Utzu Eitza" can be heard online at:

http://www.jccathisnewmonth.org/5764/Adar/adarson1.asp

I suggest this slightly loose English translation:

Plan your evil plans, evil man (heh heh heh!)
I know that they're never gonna work (nyah nyah nyah!)
{Plan your evil, evil pla-ans, I know that they'll never work
'Cause we will trust in Adonai} x2

I taught this song to kids preK-grade 3. The older ones can learn both
English and Hebrew; the youngest ones will learn the English and then
supply the evil laughter and "nyah nyah nyah" sound effects while I sing
the Hebrew for them.

Will try to post sheet music for this one in the next 24-48 hours.
