Hi Ros,

I believe the melody in the UAHC books is the Binder system.  It is
certainly a valid system, used for quite some time now.  If these are the
books I recall, there is a blue one for Torah and a purple one for haftarah.
I seem to recall blessings for before and after reading being transcribed in
these books, but you can definitely find them in Jacobson's cantillation
tome if I'm mistaken.  Jacobson's system is slightly different from Binder,
but I think the blessings are fairly similar.
