[HANASHIR:16403] Re: dinosaur song

During my tot shabbat service I use the following songs and feel they work
great together to create a mood that works well. Let's remember these children
are very young (3-6) and need a combination of songs that require high and low
energy to keep their attention:

Shabbat Shalom Blessings (Debbie Friedman)- we actually
sing this in stages as we light the candles,
say the blessing over the wine and eat the challah
Barchu - (Rachelle Nelson) - Kids like to sing the la las
Shma - don't know the composer but it starts with a piggy
back song to "Hush Little Baby"
Hush everybody don't say a thing
Shma is a word for listening...
Hinei Mah Tow - into Torah Li
    Dinosaur song
    For Chanukah I added:
          Not By Might
Light One Candle(kids did the chorus with the cantor)
Light the Menorah - it's chanukah it's chanukah
Sha ba ba ba ba ba - Shabbat shalom (Craig Taubman did this
a few years ago at HN and it was wonderful. My kids
          go crazy for this one.
    Thank You God.

Depending on the time of year we add others - but these basics work well.

Sincerely,
Karen Joseph
