A course in Modern Conversational Hebrew begins this week on Tuesday, 
January 6th. Weekly 1 1/2 hour classes take place on alternating Tuesday 
and Thursday evenings at Congregation Betenu in Amherst, NH. (A detailed 
class schedule is available to students.) This is a continuing class that 
welcomes new students (aged from Bar- Mitzvah to adult) as we delve into a 
new textbook: "Baal-peh u'vikhtav". Pre-requisite: Ability to read and 
write in Hebrew (block & script).  Class will be conducted mostly in 
Hebrew. Some attention will be paid to prayer book Hebrew.

1. Mini-Course: A look at the Prayerbook (possible dates: April/May)
2. Beginner's Hebrew: Reading & writing in block and script, basic 
vocabulary and comprehension. This course will begin in September 2004.
