[HANASHIR:16188] RE: Ideas for Dedication and Installation?

I did the music at a dedication of a new sanctuary just last Friday.

We started by having the rabbi bring in a Torah as my adult choir sang
Charles Osborne's Hal'lu/Hodu. Then the choir sang my Hassidic-sounding SAB
Shehecheyanu (listen at hotshabbat.com) arranged by our fearless hanashir
listowner, Adrian.

At the end of the service, the choir sang a Hodu L'Adonai and Debbie
Friedman's Holy Place.

New rabbi, too? You might want to take a look at my (unison) "From Strength
to Strength."

My congregation will be moving to a new space in Jan. (from Church sanctuary
to Chapel space in another synagogue). We are planning a special service to
dedicate the space and also install our new Rabbi.

Any ideas for special music or other enhancements to the service?

Thanks,
Judith
