Hi,
I am the music teacher at the Hebrew Day School in Ann Arbor and am looking for
some information about a song I am using for our music festival in December
with the first grade students. I had learned it in the 60's at Habonim Camp
Tavor and it is so simple and catchy I don't know why I can't find it anywhere
and no one I ask has heard of it. So I am sending it out here and am courious
whether someone else on this list might know it and can shed some light as to
where it came from. The hand motions and jumps that I remember that go with it
make it into a kids couples dance too. Here's the words-
Histovevu el hahar zug el zug (3x)
Yadayim l'malah ul'histovev
Yadayim al einayim (or any body part) zug el zug (3x)
yadayim l'malah u'lhistovev
thanks for your help,
Bev Warshai
