[HANASHIR:15745] Thanks to you all

Thanks to all of you who have written to me. We are so grateful out here. The
stress level here is very high. To update you all, the synagogue is safe. we
had an official evacuation on sunday of that area. As long as the winds don't'
shift again we are ok.
We are still watching many congregant loose homes. The fires have shifted up
to the mountains where I told you was devastated by the bark beatles. When you
look at a million dead trees, with houses just nestled in them, it's hard to
imagine. Last night, they officially closed all our schools. I was very happy,
as, my daughter came home with smoke inhalation. Unlike east coast schools,
they eat lunch and walk to classrooms here outside. The fires had moved down
the hill, and we had evacuated now the upper part of my town. Then late
yesterday a mandatory evacuation of all mountain towns came down. there are
over
seventy-thousand that came down last night, not knowing if they will see their
homes again. to date. we have now close to 1600 homes gone, 14 deaths, over
300,000 acres, and close to 2 billion in damage. and this rises. We are all
grateful for all your support, My husband and I are truly grateful for ALL your
support. He being the Rabbi of this community has received support that we
never
dreamed of. I am going to take your ideas and Use many of these in a healing
service. Our congregation has been fractured this year by many very sad things
and we are very due for some healing services.
Again thank you all, and i'll let you know in a few days hopefully, the
outcome of this.
