[HANASHIR:15406] Re: Dealing with Fools



Dear Edward,

What is it that you hope to accomplish by speaking directly to this 
conductor?  Is there any purpose in non-constructive criticism, or is it 
just to relieve your frustration.  My bet would be that this person is well 
aware of his incompetence and hides behind his bad behavior to ward off 
people telling him the truth that he obviously does not wish to hear.  My 
opinion is that the chazzan is the person who needs to be spoken to...why is 
he using this person...in my shul, my organist is a very limited 
musician...but I retain him for a number of reasons and work around his 
shortcomings...were I in your place, I would vent where it is safe and be 
quiet in the work place...
