I thought I would share my translation for Avinu Malkeinu...maybe not exactly 
politically correct, as I'm using an old machzor, but I hope it might work 
for some....

Our Father, (or "Sovereign") Our God, Our King (or "we sing"...)
Oh please hear this prayer that we bring
We call out to you
For without you
We know that we are nothing.
Be gracious unto us
With charity and love
And give to us your lovingkindness
Save and shelter us.
