Subject: [HANASHIR:15030] Another new CD
Dear Friends/Partners in Song,
I just received word this morning that my CD of original Jewish
music, "Two are Better Than One," has shipped from the plant and will
arrive here at Temple Beth Sholom on Monday. As some of you know, I
recorded the CD at Rick Recht's studio in St. Louis - he and Darrell
McClanahan co-produced and co-engineered the CD. Besides my lead
vocals and 12 string guitar, other musicians on the CD include Rick
Recht and his band, Darrell McClanahan (who added some electric guitar
to go along with his great engineering/production skills), my son Adam
(I will say "our son Adam" and include Rhonda in this!) and our friend
and colleague, Angela Gold.
The first six songs focus on themes of friendship, God's nearness
(based on Psalm 139), the power of prayer, strength, hope, and heritage,
The last four songs are from the evening liturgy - one based on Psalm 93
for Shabbat (created to follow the arrangement by Lewandowski of Tzadik
Katamar from Psalm 92), the last lines of the Maariv and Ahavat Olam
prayers, and a melody for the evening holiness prayer, Atah Kadosh.
I admit this is a shameless plug, but I did my best to make it
informational, like a rabbi should! You can e-mail me privately for
more information. Thanks to everyone for their support and
encouragement!!!
L'shalom,
(Rabbi) Larry Karol
