Hi List,

Although I think Kristin may realize what I'm about to say, I thought I 
would add my own two cents on the Hebrew grammar from her question.

Both "U-vash-vi-i" and "V-hash-vi-i" are grammatically correct.  The 
meanings are slightly different.  "U-vash-vi-i" means "and on the 7th 
(day)".  "V-hash-vi-i" means "and the 7th (day)".

Unfortunately, I don't know the answer to Kristin's other questions.  The 
text does not appear to be directly from Tanakh (i.e., it's not in my 
concordance), so I'm not sure of the original source of the song.  I would 
love to know if anyone on the list knows the original source of it -- 
"Yis'm'chu malchutecha" - there might be a "v" before "malchutecha".
