While this conversation and subject matter may be hitting some basic 
American nostalgia - it's enough to make me want to unsubscribe. I look 
towards this list and its members for JEWISH support, insight and 
repertoire. That's our job. If you want to continue this conversation there 
are great folk sites: folkweb, folkzone etc. - I have tried them out myself 
when looking for American folk resources.

Let's get back on track, shall we and remember who we are? Learn the songs 
and chants of our Jewish sages and songsters for the High Holidays. Leave 
the folk to the folk festivals - ESPECIALLY on Yom Kippur.
