[HANASHIR:14378] Re: Kids' Songs

Joseph,

"Secular" kid's music doesn't mean the songs can't come from Jewish sources,
or Jewish songwriters... just off the top of my head - Karen Daniel's "Sing
A Song About A Rainbow" is *hugely* successful with that age group. Judy
Kaplan Ginsburgh has great children's CD's with songs that can "pass" as
"secular", and probably most of the artists on this list (not me...;-)
have songs that can work that way. It might take alot of research - but
worth it!

Jewish music. However, this coming summer I'm going to be working at a
Jewish day camp where the director has asked me to incorperate 50% secular
kids' music. I'm going to be working with 4-9 year olds. I was wondering if
any of you have any suggestions of CDs/Music books that have songs that
would be good for this group. I have a few ideas in my head (i.e. the
"Additional Songs" from Shireinu) but my list is a rather short.
