Friends, I'm writing because I just had the most incredible experience.
Ben Steinberg came and is doing a weekend with us at our synagogue. I
prepared my 25 voice volunteer choir to sing about 4/5 of his pieces,
plus we also had our high holiday quartet come in for solo voices and
some specialized pieces, but the knowledge that we all gained from
working with such a master, I just can't describe to you. And best
yet, he's kind and a real mensch. His knowledge in the field of jewish
music is incredible. So if you're ever thinking about trying to raise
the bar and push yourself and your choir to the limits, think about
having him for a weekend! Can't wait for tomorrow's seudat shlishi and
Sunday morning's talk. (Now if only they didn't schedule this for the
weekend before Pesach!) Hope everyone has a "zissen" Pesach. Be well.

As a point of information from someone who lived in Milwaukee for over
thirty years. The airport is about 15 miles south of downtown Milwaukee
and the Bus Terminal is right in downtown Milwaukee. It would only be
about a 5 minute off and 5 minute back on the expressway to pick someone
up at the Bus Station from the airport. Surely one of you with a van
would be willing to pick Beth up. Shabbat Shalom.
