Subject: [HANASHIR:13892] Re singable English lyrics to (older) Israeli
songs
I generally wrote my own singable - and, hopefully, fairly faithful
- English lyrics to Israeli songs but, since I haven't been performing for
paid audiences for over 10 years now, have stopped doing so.
In the years I performed, I usually only wrote one verse or two in
English, preferring to do the rest in Hebrew.
I still can lay my hands on some. What I've found are the
following:
Lu Y'hi; Ba Shana ha Ba-a; Sisu et Yerushalayim; Al Kol Eileh; Chevlei
Mashiach; Tirza Yaffa; Nevel Mi Zahav; Zemer Chatuna; Amar Adon Kohelet;
Pirchei Ha Lilach (oh, boy, am I dating myself!) and a couple more from the
6 Day War! I'll be happy to share. Let me know if anyone wants any and I'll
post the ones you want to the list.
