[HANASHIR:13118] RE: Book

Friends, I lent a wonderful book to a friend of mine and she loves it so
much I'd like to purchase a copy for her as a surprise. However, I
cannot find it on "Google," and don't know where to turn. The name of
the paperback book is, The Magic of Hebrew Words and is just wonderful.
Interesting descriptions - every page has a different word or phrase and
relates the gematria to the connection of other words and meanings. Is
anyone familiar with it? I think I bought it at caje years ago. I've
checked the following publishers: Jason Aaronson, Behrman House, KTAV,
the Conservative mvt's publisher... to no avail. Thanks,

Subject: [HANASHIR:13117] Shabbat Shirah

Shalom Fellow Jewish Music Lovers,

Each year, my chavurah, in East Brunswick, NJ, has a Saturday evening
Shabbat Shirah kumsitz/sing-a-long. This year we are gathering at 8PM on
January 18. This annual event started a number of years ago with 6 or 7
couples. The chavurah has grown to encompass a monthly musical Kabbalat
Shabbat service and a monthly musical/equalitarian Shabbat morning
service. Last year about 180 people attended the kumsitz.

The evening consists of Havdallah followed by songs ranging from our
liturgy to Israeli songs to American Jewish to Carlebach...you get the
idea. We use a Power Point presentation and an LCD projector instead of
a shiron. The presentation is in both Hebrew and transliteration. We
have a guitarist, keyboard player, percussionist and flute player to
accompany the singing. After all of the singing, we enjoy some kosher
dairy desserts.

Anybody on the list is welcome to join us for this evening - there is no
charge.

If anybody would like further information, please email me privately.
