You raise a good point. Let me take it and raise you one. Funding is,
for the most part, reflective of the community's priorities.
The conclusion one might draw is that we simply don't view day schools
with high enough priority.
If we are losing 50,000 Jews per year (as the article states), that's well
over 100 per day (and it's been at that rate for over 10 years already).
It _ought_ to be among our highest priorities -- but, for a number of
reasons, it is not.
