Here is a great article (Jerusalem Post) about a subject close to my heart.  
Please pass this on.  I've been saying these things for years - knowing first 
hand the ramifications of this phenomenon - or should we now call it a CRISIS.

- My daughter goes to a Day School, and yes, it's expensive.  If I had to send 
two children to a Day School I couldn't afford it.

- I teach (music) in two afternoon Religious schools, confronted daily with how 
little these kids know, or CARE about their Jewishness.  It's pathetic. 5th and 
6th graders who can hardly say the Aleph-Bet. They care about their soccer or 
bad music ten times more than they care about being Jewish.  They have no clue 
about Jewish history, Jewish values, etc...and most of them would rather NOT be 
in religious school all together.  These kids ARE the future generation of 
American Jewry.

So who's "fault" is this?  What can we do?
