I've been trying to think of the songs that we sing (that haven't already
been mentioned) that are big hits! Note that I work at a camp, so obviously
the selection is a little different, but fun all the same!
We love...
Im Tirtzu
Mitzvah Goreret Mitzvah
Tree of Life song
Unicorn song
Bless this House
Bayom Hahu (the baby I love you version)
Hiney Ma Tov (ooh ah version)
Miracles aren't just magic
Esther's song (You can change the world)
Ma Tovu it's the Morning
Just Another Foreigner
Anatoly (when the issue was more at the forefront of our attention)
Shecheheyanu
Not by might ("Hillel was a Rabbi" version)
other camp favorites are:
One Tin Soldier
Circle Game
Cats in the Cradle
Company
Feelin Groovy
Separation Blues
Jet Plane
House at Pooh Corner
I love Jewish "spiritual" music, such as Debbie Friedman's "You Are the One"
and "T'fliah Haderech". However, the past few music specialists just were
into different styles! So...I'm really excited about bringing a new sound
to camp...hopefully with many of your wonderful song suggestions!
I love this listserve, and thanks so much for all of your help!
~smile always~
