[HANASHIR:12385] Re: 8 days of Chanukah

This topic reminded me of A Chanukah parody I came up with a year or 2 ago
(thought its unlikely it's the first time the idea was used.)

On the first night of Chanukah, my true love gave to me,
        Delicious potato pancakes

On the second night of Chanukah my true love gave to me,

        2 cups of wine
        and delicious potato pancakes

On the third night...

        3 matzoh balls
        2 cups of wine
        and delicious potato pancakes

On the fourth night...

        4 gefilte fish
        ...

On the fifth night ...

        5 chocolate gelt....

        4 gefilte fish
        3 matzoh balls
        2 cups of wine
        and...

Sixth night...

        6 dreidles spinning
                ...

Seventh night...

        7 rabbis praying
(my rabbi wonders why anyone would want this?)

Eighth night...

        8 candles burning
        7 rabbis praying
        6 dreidles spinning

        5 chocolate gelt..

        4 gefilte fish
        3 matzoh balls
        2 cups of wine
        and de-li-cious po-ta-to pan-cakes.

(Or substitute your own words)

Could substitue bubbe or zayde or dodi for "true love")
