Friends - Does anyone have a shul in NYC that they could recommend for HHD?
My kids are both at nyu and I'm not sure the uahc on W. 4th holds services. We
are ticket holders so I guess reciprocity shouldn't be a problem. I'm looking
for a place that has cool music and that would welcome a family of four.

  Thanks!

I was just contacted by the Entertainment Chair of the Rockland County, NY
"We Are One" Chanukah Festival. They are planning what is promised to be a
HUGE event in support of Israel at the Rockland Community College Field House.
The event is being held on Sunday, Nov. 17, 2002 from 11 am - 5 pm and will
feature events and activities for children, a children's perfomance stage and
an adult performance stage, booths from various non-profit organizations in the
county, Kosher food and Judaica vendors. Everyone is donating their talent and
time and every dollar raised will be donated to the Joint Jewish Committee's 10
Emergency Trauma Centers for Children at Risk in Israel.

Radio personality, Nachum Siegel, will be the MC and they are looking for
performers who are willing to donate their talent to one of the stages. In
return, you will be allowed to sell your recordings and publications during the
festival and will be mentioned in the program for the event.

The goals for the festival are to unite and strengthen the Jewish community
and cement its support for Israel. The anticipated attendance is 10,000+.

OK, so there is no money involved. BUT you will get heard, you do get to
sell product and there are even some frequent flyer tickets available to pay
for some of you to fly there. So, if you are looking for some exposure in the
NY area and want to help a good cause, let me know and I will pass your name
along to the chairperson.

If interested, please include your e-mail and phone number and what you would
like to do at the festival in an e-mail sent to me at judy (at)
jewishentertainment(dot)net

  Thanks!

  Judy :)
