My wife and I had the pleasure of hosting Judy during the recording of this
project. It was a joy to watch two professionals like her and Josh lay the
tracks during the sessions, and I learned a lot about the process of making an
album. And having had the chance to hear the works in progress, I have gained a
new interest and appreciation for children's music, especially music geared
towards the Early Childhood kids and their families.
I highly recommend this album. Not only does "My Jewish World" do an extremely
effective job of presenting the subject matter, the songs use "adult" musical
styles and is quite appealing to the ears of the young -- and the young at
heart. The curriculum is also chocked full of useful ideas. And if I sound a
little biased, it's because I got the chance to make a cameo appearance on two
tracks.

Friends,
I hate to toot my own horn, BUT I am very excited to let you know that the new
Jewish Early Childhood Music Curriculum that I have been working on for the past
year is finally available! It is called "My Jewish World" and is published by
UAHC Press and Transcontinental Music Publications. The curriculum contains a
book with music, lyrics, chords and curriculum ideas for 25 new songs plus a CD.
The songs follow a daily preschool schedule beginning with a Wake Up Shema,
including songs about sharing, being a mensch, the Torah, the mezuzah, a Tot
Birkat Hamazon, a nap song, songs about colors, days of the week, seasons of the
year, feelings, etc.....You can also purchase the CD separately. All of the
songs are sung by me with instruments played by Josh Nelson. Many of our
friends have their original songs included -- Peter & Ellen Allard, Hanna
Tiferet Siegel, Fran Avni, Andy Curry, Anita Schubert, etc.
You can find out more about it at the following link
