Hi Folks,

I'm just beginning my journey on my quest to become a cantor, and I'm aware
that I need to have some college level Hebrew before I can begin the
program.  I've already graduated college with a Master's degree in business,
and my work schedule is very unstable, so I'm looking for maybe an online
class or a software program that can teach me what I need to know to get
into cantorial school.  I would appreciate any suggestions y'all might have.
I already know how to read and write and I know how to translate many of the
prayers in the Shabbat services.  So I'm somewhat of a beginner, but not at
the very beginning.

I'm also considering studying under a local cantor in the Northwest suburbs
of the Chicago area to become a cantor.  If anyone can recommend a cantor to
be my mentor, it would be much appreciated.
