Chevrei --
I just picked up last week a new Taylor 615CE which I plan on bringing with me
to CAJE tomorrow. But I'm not sure which case I should bring it in. Do I bring
it in . . .
a) the brand new custom fit Taylor hard shell case? It is more durable, but I
would almost certainly have to gate-check it at the airport. It was also be
much heavier to carry around the campus.
or
b) the Mooradian soft-shell case which currently houses my Alvarez dreadnought?
I was able to bring the Alvarez on the plane as carry-on luggage when I went to
the Ukraine during Pesach, and it had no visible damage. The Mooradian case is
well padded, but is not as durable as the Taylor case. However, it is much
lighter than the Taylor case (I can backpack it) and has extra storage space for
accessories and music.
I have an idea which one I'm going to bring, but I would like the advice of my
friends and colleagues from the Hanashir list. Thanks in advance for your help.
