I am sending this to the entire list since so many people are unhappy with 
the Complete Shireinu binding.

A couple of friends and I put the entire Shireinu into sheet protectors in a 
3" D-ring binder.  it is a bit bulkier and heavier, but is much easier to 
flip through to find what you want.  No frustration of pages coming out of 
the binding.  It is also easier to remove the pages you want to use for a 
particular session and put them either in the front of the binder or in a 
smaller binder.

At HN 2002, someone suggested using a fine wire, such as an extra light or 
light gauge high e string from a guitar to tie the binding together.  I 
prefer the bulkier solution, as it will preserve the music much better.
